CHOCOLATE COCONUT BALLS (20. 6. 2014)

Today was the last time we met this year.

It was a little different - we read some recipe bits and had to make up a recipe.
When we got it right, we read it out loud.

Then we looked at the ingredients: CHOCOLATE, BISCUITS, COCONUT FLOUR, SUGAR, MILK. Everything was soooo good!

We were in 2 groups and we started making the CHOCOLATE COCONUT MIXTURE. When it was ready, we all made little balls and rolled them in coconut flour or colourful sprinkles.

They looked yummy!!!

We put them into the fridge and we're waiting for Monday to try them out!

Here's the recipe:

200 gr BISCUITS
100 gr POWDERED SUGAR
100 gr POWDERED CHOCOLATE
100 gr COCONUT FLOUR
250 gr MARGARINE
3 spoons of MILK

1. Crush the biscuits.
2. Add sugar, chocolate, coconut flour, margarine and milk.
3. Mix everything together (with clean hands!).
4. Make small balls, roll them in coconut flour, chocolate or sprinkles and put on a tray.
5. Leave in the fridge for a few hours.

And some pictures of us working:

Of course, we washed our hands before we started and at the end.... well, we licked them! And it was DELICIOUS!!!

The Three Billy Goats Gruff (4. 4. 2014)

Today was READING FRIDAY again!! Happy, happy, happy...
Our teacher chose THE THREE BILLY GOATS GRUFF.

We sat on the floor and listened to our teacher reading the story.
Then we each got a page from the story and WE READ out loud!!!
We were all GREAT!

Here is a link to the story:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OO-5KgcfHmI

The story is about 3 goats that want to eat grass. But a horrible troll is guarding it. They are smarter than him, however, and in the end they come to the juicy meadow!

After reading the story, we searched for RHYMES, for example: ME - TEA,...

We circled the rhymes, wrote them on paper and drew pictures of what they mean.

In the end, we glued them on a poster!

ELMER - the patchwork elephant (14. 02. 2014)

At our first ENGLISH READING CLUB meeting we read ELMER, the elephant.

We sat on the blanket and our teacher read the story to us.

Then we looked for words: FAT, THIN, TALL, YOUNG, OLD, SERIOUS and all the different colours Elmer had.

After that we went into groups and made posters with Elmer, the elephant. We also played with different words our teacher gave us and tried to make sentences.
